Our programs

Our core programme places an emphasis on values, skills and passions. Moving away from viewing education as the process of transmission of material and content to one of modeling strong core values, empowering our pupils with critical skills for success and accessing their unique passions and interests.

IMPACT Programme

At King Solomon Secondary, we are committed to developing our students to become contributive members of society. We want all of our students to discover the fulfillment that ensues from making a meaningful impact in our community, country and the world at large.

Our Local Impact programme involves volunteer work and projects throughout the year in various organisations. Each grade adopts an organisation or project, where each student can find a way to make a meaningful difference, creating deep and meaningful connections.

Our Global Impact programme takes place throughout the year, and involves weekly classes in relevant skills such as entrepreneurship, robotics, debate and public speaking. The culmination of our Global Impact Programme involves an intensive accelerator week at the end of the year, where we expand our skill sets as our students create “companies” of their own to make real impact. Using the Design Thinking model, our students move from identifying a real world problem to creating a real world solution.

Connecting with the people of our village in Malawi, we are able to deeper understand the “pain”created by the challenges they face. This helps students develop true empathy and channel it into creating sustainable solutions to challenges that they have identified. Through a process of research and exploration, brainstorming and innovation, our students manage to create practical solutions. Our students have already explored challenges such as water and clean energy, and have created some exceptionally innovative products. Our winning team is invited to join us on our annual trip to our adopted village in Malawi, where, in partnership with Innovation Africa, we help to bring solutions to their challenges. During an accelerated entrepreneurial process, each student becomes a leader and a change agent, as they discover the power within to change and influence the world.

Chavruta and Beit Midrash Programme

The King Solomon Community is unique in that it is composed of Jewish pupils of diverse backgrounds who share common values. Our entire programme is built with respect to and tolerance for pupils with differing levels of observance while embracing the common values that unite us as a community.

Our Chavruta and Beit Midrash programmes offer our pupils the opportunity to engage in an inspiring and dynamic Jewish Learning experience, expanding our basic Jewish knowledge and exposing our pupils to classic Jewish texts. We would like our pupils to experience the magic of the Beit Midrash and elicit their curiosity so that they choose to incorporate Torah study as an integral part of their futures.

Students as the leaders of the next generation

Mrs Bruria Martin, Secondry School headteacher

Welcome to King Solomon International Secondary School – where we view our students as the leaders of the next generation.

In an increasingly complex reality, Secondary students of today must swiftly adapt to meet ever-changing demands. Preparing our students for an undefined future, we need to ensure that they are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and values while allowing each individual pupil to thrive in a way that meets their needs, passions and purpose.

As the only private Jewish, International school in Israel, we cherish the values of our Jewish Heritage and those of Global citizenship and have created an environment and a unique programme that embraces both of these core values.

Our Impact programme provides our pupils with the opportunity to gain various critical skills including Financial Literacy , Crisis Management, Media Literacy and Mindfulness.

The wide variety of enrichment options allow for our pupils to engage their passions in various areas of interests ranging from ecology to computer programming, and our Chavruta offerings ensure that each pupil is connecting to their Jewish Heritage from an angle of their interest – be it Jewish Philosophy, Bible or Jewish History.

While the language of instruction of the Private Lower Secondary School is mainly Hebrew combined with a strong Cambridge programme in English, we transition into an International programme that begins in Year 10. We are proud to have been authorised as an IB school. The International Baccelaureate Diploma (www.ibo.org) is a prestigious and rigorous High School Diploma that is accepted in the best universities around the world, as well as considered by Israeli Universities to be equivalent to the Israeli Bagrut.

We look forward to welcoming you to experience the special atmosphere at the King Solomon Secondary.
